Channel Islands Chapter is Serving our Community

Fall is in full swing; people are starting to overseed their lawns. Don't forget to dial it back on the irrigation timers! Last month we joined Ventura County Department of Child Support Services for their 4th Annual Trunk or Treat. We hope you were able to make it to the wonderful event.

Please join us next month for the annual Ventura County Food Share CAN-tree Drive December 5 at Figueroa Plaza in downtown Ventura. Look for updates to this event on our Instagram page. We're going to donate canned goods and stack them into trees along with several other agencies and organizations. We invite you to come with your friends and family. We received the following letter of thanks for our participation in Trunk or Treat:

What an incredible Trunk or Treat we had – and it’s all thanks to YOU and our amazing community partners!

We were thrilled to welcome approximately 850 attendees, and the children in our community had an absolute blast collecting treats and enjoying the festive atmosphere. Together, we hosted 47 creative trunks, along with three welcoming entrance stations and DeeJaySolo, who kept the fun going with music and extra goodies!

A huge shoutout and virtual high-five to each of you who made our 4th Annual Trunk or Treat such a success. Your creativity, generosity, and community spirit truly made this event unforgettable. Seeing the smiles and hearing the gratitude from families was the best reward of all.
