Take Time to Relax During this Busy Season

We know that summer is the busiest season in the landscape business, and it can be challenging to find enough time in the day to get everything done. One of the biggest hurdles we face is making time for everything.

Sometimes, the best way to unwind is out on the sea! We invite you to join us for our 11th Annual Channel Islands & Friends Fishing Trip Friday, September 5. We will be fishing out of Hook’s Sportfishing in Oxnard. The actual fishing will take place in the waters around the majestic Channel Islands. It’s a great opportunity to relax, catch some fish, and network with others in our industry. We hope to see you there!

It's now back to school season for our kids and grandkids, and for CLCA members as well. Our neighboring chapter – the Los Angeles/San Gabriel Valley chapter – is planning to have a Lighting Night September 25 in Torrance, at the home of Past LA/SGV President Mike Garcia. Lighting in and out of water will be showcased.

Don’t forget the CLCA State Convention in Santa Rosa’s Wine Country November 5-8. And don’t miss the 2025 Anaheim Landscape Expo November 12-13 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Finally, we are in discussions with the San Fernando Valley chapter and LA/SGV about a joint three-chapter Holiday Party. More on this next month. Stay cool.
